WordPress Plugin

The WordPress plugin is the quickest way to get tracking live: install it, connect, and AI referral sessions start logging on their own. If you are not on WordPress, you can get the same data out of Google Analytics instead.

Install the plugin

Visibility Kit tracking runs through a WordPress plugin. Today it ships inside the free Website LLMs.txt plugin on wordpress.org. The tracking functionality is the "Visibility Kit" half of that plugin and will move into a standalone Visibility Kit plugin as the product grows.

1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins, Add New.
2. Search for "Website LLMs.txt" and install it.
3. Activate the plugin.

Connect

1. In WordPress admin, open Settings, Website LLMs.txt, Visibility Kit.
2. Enter your email and click Connect.
3. Your account is auto-provisioned on Visibility Kit. Tracking starts immediately.

Once connected, the plugin loads vk-core.js on your site's frontend, which reads the referrer on each visit and sends the AI-sourced ones to your Visibility Kit account.

What you'll see

• AI Search Traffic widget in your WordPress admin dashboard, showing recent AI referral sessions across the major tools.
• Cross-admin announcement banner notifying you when notable AI referral activity happens on your site.
• Full dashboard at visibilitykit.ai, with historical breakdowns, page-level detail, and tool-by-tool views.

Disconnect

From the plugin settings, click Disconnect. Tracking stops immediately and the embed token is revoked.
